SOURCES REPORTED THAT CAPTAIN AMIR HASHMI WAS WRONGLY ACCUSED AS HE WAS LIKELY TO BECOME CEO OF THE COMPANY. UNIONS WERE SCARED OF HIM DUE TO HIS ANTI UNIONS ACTIONS IN THE PAST, THEY PLANNED THIS CONSPIRACY WITH A FAKE PICTURE WHICH WAS NOT OF THE SUBJECT FLIGHT.
CAPTAIN AMIR HASHMI IS KNOWN AS THE MOST HONEST AND DEVOTED PROFESSIONAL AMONG HIS COLLEAGUES AND THEY ELECTED HIM AS THEIR PRESIDENT.
CAPTAIN HASHMI WAS REWARDED WITH VARIOUS POSITIONS AND LETTERS OF APPRECIATION FROM THE AIRLINE AND THE HIGHEST OFFICE OF THE GOVT.
HE WAS OFFERED JOBS BY VARIOUS COMPANIES AROUND THE WORLD, BUT AIRLINE REFUSED TO LET HIM LEAVE DUE TO HIS EXTRA ORDINARY QUALIFICATIONS, SERVICE AND SACRIFICES FOR THE AIRLINE.
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME HE WAS WRONLY ACCUSED, EX CHAIRMAN ADVISOR TO PM AND DYPUTY COLLECTOR CUSTOMS APOLOGISED TO HIM FOR WRONG ACCUSATION PLANNED BY UNIONS AFTER HE WROTE A REPORT OF CABIN CREW INVOLVED IN SMUGGLING, BUT BACKFIRED.
HE HAS BEEN THREATENED TO BE CUT INTO PEACES WHEN HE REFUSED TO TAKE PART IN STRIKE BY ALL THE UNIONS, A LETTER BY ADVISOR TO PRIME MINISTER THANKED HIM FOR SAVING THE AIRLINE FROM THE UNION’S STRIKE WAS AN EYE WASH SINCE SAME UNON IS SUPPORTED BY THIS GOVT. PAVING ITS WAY TO SELL THE AIRLINE AT THROUGH AWAY PRICE.
EVEN DURING RECENT INCIDENT, ONE OF THE UNION LEADER DURING INVESTIGATION CONFESSED, THAT WE HAVE THREATENED CAPT HASHMI, IF HE DOES NOT TAKE HIS REPORT BACK, THEN HE SHOULD BE READY FOR THE CONSEQUENCES, HENSE WE PLANNED AGAINST HIM.
IRONICALLY, NONE OF THE TOP MANAGEMENT HAS ANY AVIATION EXPERIENCE WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CASE OF THIS BLEEDING AIRLINE FOR THE PAST MANY YEARS.
SOURCES ADD; RECENTLY HELPLESS CAPTAIN WROTE FOLLOWING LETTER TO ADVISOR TO PM COMPLAINING THAT; WHEN EVER HE TRIED TO DO ANY GOOD FOR THE AIRLINE, IT BACKFIRED DUE TO CORRUPT MANAGEMENT SUPPORTED BY THE UNIONS.
When I first met you sir, I developed a lot of respect for you, and optimistic for our national carrier, but the airline remained at the helm of vested forces and blackmailing union mafia.
Airline Administration remained under the net of those who always tried to harm national carrier.
When I was offered job in Middle East in 2008, PIA Chairman did not let me leave while I was fully entitled but he offered me management job which I refused, a note from then chairman Zafar Ahmed is available in my personal file of appreciation.
As PALPA President, I took a huge risk where my life was threatened by union leader (video is available where they announced that they will cut me into peaces if I wouldn’t help them shutting down the operation), yet I disassociated myself n my pilots from corrupt and illegal strike, the PM called and SAPM wrote a letter of appreciation where they believed that I, not only saved the airline but I saved their Govt.
You asked me to work on project to convert our 310 into cargo despite knowing that airbus industry charges 5 to 6 million dollars per piece just to convert, where as I found ready made (already converted) A310 in excellent condition for only 700,000 USD per piece and in far better condition along with spares and undercarriage, but you suddenly dropped the Idea, reason best known to you sir, and asked me to suggest MNG to become our partner in Cargo operation, which was unbelievable suggestion.
I was head of Cost cutting committee ( I refused perks for the sake the airline’s financial health) but sir, you never gave a heed to my suggestions which could save billions for the airline yet due to obvious reason as the management was playing in the hands of Unions and they would never let that to happen where I have asked to to shut down their offices from PIA’s premises.
Fake case of sleeping was just like the fake case of mobile smuggling because I wrote DBR against the cabin crew smuggling on the same very flight (ex Chairman and ex SAPM apologised as they proved that I was framed by cabin crew union)
Similarly, I wrote against the cabin crew discipline and they warned me that if the DBR is not withdrawn, you will face the consequences, and indeed, management always played in the hands of criminals, what could we expect from enquiry despite;
1 Investigator in his 2nd statement says “ facts were twisted and actualy it never happened”
2 Passenger, so called complainant saying it did not happen like this
3 Both Co Pilots denying
4 writer of report (purser) says it was never reported to me directly, I was only told after the flight by my colleagues
4 head of Enquiry was appointed whose wife was member of controversial union
5 statement of only those cabin crew were considered who are in the pay roll of union mafia
6 Capt’s DBR was never taken under consideration where I highlighted their indiscipline.
7 Newspaper showed picture of other flight (I have sued DAWN in court which should have been done by the airline for its own reputation. But media cell is busy protecting corrupt management.
8 Outcome of Enquiry is being kept secret for obvious reasons
I attained the age of superannuation on 22-12-2017 and stood retired from the service of corporation after operating last flight on the same date, but I am not being given my own provident fund earned in my 40 years of career which is highly unjustified and thankless attitude on our National airline’s part.
